Taking responsibility

As a logistics service provider, we too would like to face up to our responsibility towards our environment and future generations. We have embarked on a continuous improvement process in which our working methods are to be regularly reviewed and adapted from the point of view of sustainability. What is good today can be made even better tomorrow.

What we have implemented so far

We asked ourselves what we could do personally to reduce our CO2 emissions. Through various measures, we have already succeeded in working a bit more climate-friendly, here in detail:

1. use of state-of-the-art technology and software.

By updating our software and work processes, we have managed to work paperless as far as possible. Documents are mainly transmitted electronically.
In addition, we have learned in the pandemic to integrate online meetings and mobile working into our daily work routine, so that CO2 can be saved here through the elimination of commuting and business trips.

2. building management and vehicle fleet

Another measure is our own sustainable electricity production through the acquisition of a photovoltaic system at the Ostfildern site, which already covers most of our own electricity requirements.
The Bremen site is already heated by a heat pump.

In addition, we are in the process of converting our vehicle fleet to electric mobility or vehicles supported by electric motors that can be charged by our own electricity production.

3. commitment of each individual

Every single employee has an individual contribution. For example, 55% of employees already regularly use bicycles or public transportation to get to work. In addition, mobile working is increasingly used to reduce CO2 emissions here as well.

Support for sustainable projects

Despite optimization, we still produce CO2. To do our part to offset this footprint, we supported three Gold Standard-certified climate projects this year.

In the future, we would like to involve your company in the topic of climate protection by calculating the CO2 emissions of your transports, in order to then include compensation for the CO2 emissions caused in our climate projects in the Gold Standard.
